	< Previous   |   Next > Installation – see how simple it is! How a Zodiac Automatic Pool Cleaner Works There are just a few parts to snap together - no tools required! Then, simply connect the cleaner to the skimmer or dedicated in-wall vacuum line and let it go! Your pool pump pulls water and debris from the cleaner, through the skimmer or vacuum line, then through the filter system and pushes the filtered water back into the pool through the return inlets. Your Zodiac Automatic Pool Cleaner will move around on its own to remove dirt, debris, bugs, twigs, leaves, sand, and even pebbles. What could be simpler than that? See How Simple the Installation Is The following steps will give you an idea of how simple it is to install a Zodiac Automatic Pool Cleaner. Do not use this as an alternative to reading your manual. Please read the entire Owner's Manual before installation. Pool Preparation   • Clear the pool of any large debris that may become lodged in the cleaner.   • Clean the pool filter and the pump strainer basket to ensure proper water flow.   • Remove the vacuum plate and skimmer basket from the skimmer.   • Close the main drain (if you have one)   • Aim the pool return jets downward to allow the cleaner to move randomly throughout the pool. Assembly   • Slide the disc over the footpad   • Snap on the wheel deflector (some models do not need a wheel deflector)   • Assemble the hose using enough to reach from the skimmer to the furthest point     in the pool plus one extra hose section.   • Attach the hose weight to the proper position on the hose as indicated in your     Owner's Manual. (Only on in-ground models)  | Installation   • Fill the hose with water by placing one end over a return jet.   • Submerge the pool cleaner head. When the bubbles stop, attach the cleaner head to the hose.   • Connect the hose to the skimmer using the attachments provided.  | Relax and enjoy your Baracuda-clean pool!
